REC-Russian Endurance Challenge
The Russian Endurance Series (REC) is the oldest series of multi-hour automobile races in Russia, created in the likeness of international series in the category ENDURANCE.
The competition takes place at modern Russian autodromes, whose length of the route allows more than 45 crews to compete simultaneously for 4 to 24 hours.
The competition was first held on October 24, 2015 at the autodrome near Moscow Moscow Raceway in the format of four-hour marophones. The series is held under the auspices of sports federations: RAF and Moscow Automobile Sports Federation (FASM).
The regulations of the Russian Endurance Challenge allow cars of various classes of Russian and international series to participate in the race.
In the Russian Endurance Challenge (REC), the Russian Endurance Challenge (REC) is held throughout the season, and the winning crews of the season are awarded at the end of the year. The personal competition of the pilots participating in the series, conducted according to the points system, annually determines the winners in the individual competition. The crew provides for the participation of one to four pilots (depending on the duration of the race and the composition of the crew). There are pit stops for refueling, changing tires and drivers. Repair work of crew cars in the pits can be carried out over a long period of the race.
The REC regulations are published annually on the official website of the series, defining the current year's rules and classes. The series is notable for the fact that, often for the first time, experimental domestically produced cars will launch in it, such as the Phoenix sports prototype, the Marussia GT supercar, the Shortcut sports prototype, the BR sports prototype, and the ROSSA supercar...
Both professional and amateur riders can take part in REC races.
The series has wide coverage in specialized media, live broadcast from the stages is carried out on TV channels and in the series group VC. The series also has its own Telegram channel @rusendurance.
The general organizer and promoter of the Russian Endurance Series (REC) is an autonomous non-profit organization "Sports Club «ASPAS».
