What is SuperEnduro

The FIM SuperEnduro World Championship is an exciting motorcycling discipline that is held in indoor sports halls around the world.

An unforgettable sports event, which comprises: speed, adrenaline, stunning falls, and sensational turnarounds.

The competition is held from December to March.

7–8 rounds per season in arenas with a capacity from 4,500 to 18,000 seats.

The main event lasts 3 hours and is fully packed with action.

8 races spiced up by an opening ceremony and many side events.

Track

The track consists of tones of the ground (surfaced and compacted dirt) and artificial obstacles.

Obstacles include: boulders, wooden beams, concrete pipes, logs of varying diameters, dirt jumps, large tires with a diameter of 2 meters, etc.).

Tracks are 250-300 meters long.

The appearance of the track, its level of difficulty and the obstacles that are arranged on it depends entirely on the local promoter, which means that the competitors do not know until the very last moment what the track will look like. This gives a lot of freedom and a huge range of possibilities.

SuperEnduro World Championship

The FIM SuperEnduro World Championship is an endurocross series held primarily in Europe since 2007.

SuperEnduro season typically runs from November or December to March, giving riders and fans something to look forward to during the winter months when other races are on break.

What makes SuperEnduro special is that the races are held inside arenas. Inside, riders face extreme challenges on tracks filled with tough obstacles like rocks, boulders, logs and more. Winning a SuperEnduro race is not just about speed. Riders need serious skill and control to navigate these tricky courses.

The series had its first season in 2007–08 under the name FIM Indoor Enduro World Cup. In 2010–11 it was renamed FIM Indoor Enduro World Championship and in 2011/12 it adopted its current designation.

The championship is promoted since 2012–13 by ABC Communication, the same company as the Enduro World Championship. It introduced junior and women's classes in addition to the men's Prestige class. For the 2013–14 season, the schedule expanded to include two events in the Americas (Brasil and Mexico).

Beginner's guide

The FIM SuperEnduro World Championship is a series of events held in arenas around the world since 2010.

Each season includes 5-7 rounds held from December to March.

Each round is held on purpose-built tracks located inside arenas with obstacles such as wood logs, huge tires and massive rocks..

Competition formula

In each race, 14 best riders tackle a challenging dirt track.

8 races are held during a 3-hour-long event.

Each race takes 6 minutes + 1 lap.

Tracks are 250-300 meters long.

30–60 seconds per lap, on average.

4 separate categories: Prestige, Junior, Youth, Europe.

Basic rules

Riders in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship compete in three classes: Prestige (over 18 years old), Junior (16 to 23 years old) and Youth (14 to 18 years old, 125 ccm bikes). Additionally, a European Cup race is held.

The top 7 riders from the PRESTIGE class training sessions enter the SuperPole race, which consists of two laps – one familiarization and one with timing. Competitors start with 20-second intervals. The top three riders are awarded with additional points (included in the overall classification): 1st place – 3 points, 2nd place – 2 points, 3rd place – 1 point.

The main event consists of 3 finals (main races) of PRESTIGE, JUNIOR and YOUTH classes. Each race lasts 6 min + 1 lap. At the starting gates in each class compete 14 riders lined up in two rows of 7. The starting order in the second final is reversed – this means that the best riders start from the last positions. They are lined up in the second row, so in order to win the second race they have to overtake all rivals. Such an arrangement adds spice to the race – the competition on the track is very fierce and full of numerous plot twists.
