Supercar Challenge
Fancy racing with your own racing car? That's also possible! Almost every type of racing car is welcome in the Supercar Challenge. Because of the multiple divisions, there is always a prize to compete for!
In the Supercar Challenge, very different cars with different engine powers are driven.
A division has been made with four divisions, namely;
GT, Supersport 1, Supersport 2 and Sport.
This classification is made on the basis of the ratio between the car weight and the engine power.
This is controlled by the Powerlog system, which was developed in collaboration with Ingenieursbureau Esquisse. It consists of a small box which is mounted in all cars.
Using a G-force sensor, a gyroscope and a GPS receiver for, among other things, measuring the speed, the power is calculated using the usual physics formulas.
After all, the weight of the car, including the driver, is known and the power can easily be calculated by measuring the acceleration.
