TROPHY
116 TROPHY
Dedicated to the BMW 116i, holding events across the UK’s most historic circuits and in partnership with the 750 Motor Club, the 116 Trophy is the country’s fastest-growing RWD Endurance series.
Through a combination of consistent regulation, minimal modifications and a strong focus on feedback from our community we are proud to be able to offer Motorsport enthusiasts a gateway into racing.
Our weapon of choice is the BMW 116i, a great road car, and even better race car. Among the many factors considered when the vehicle was selected was the affordability factor for those that want to build their own. There is an expansive second-hand market, meaning that good donor cars can be collected for between £700 and £2000. In order to produce wallet-friendly performance, the mandatory modifications have been kept to a minimum. A roll cage, race exhaust, suspension change, ECU and set of Nankangs is all you need to get you on the grid. We have a list of authorised vendors, offering consistent quality and pricing.
THE FORMAT
Our standard format consists of Endurance races lasting 90 minutes, with two mandatory pit stops and up to three drivers. Each season will also include special event races such as extended length, racing abroad and sprint rounds. The choice of endurance racing allows drivers to share the events, keeping costs down, while providing plenty of track time.
THE ETHOS
We strive to ensure that all of our series are as accessible and inclusive. We cater to novices and those on a budget, with experience, support and advice readily available from the series organisers, as well as a depth of expertise our teams provide. Whether you need car building services, race preparation and set up or you’d like to start your racing journey through arrive and drive.
SPRINT
Sprint Trophy
SPRINT TROPHY CHAMPIONSHIP
As in the 116 Trophy, the Sprint series car is the BMW 116i, an agile, fun and forgiving race car. Selected for their abundance in the second-hand market, affordability of donor cars and parts and ability to be competitive to experienced drivers, while remaining accessible to novices.
The modifications made to the car are minimal, affecting only the roll cage, race exhaust, suspension change, ECU and tyres and are the same as those used on the Trophy and Coupe Cup cars. This keeps the cost of modified parts down and means that the vehicles are eligible to be raced in multiple events – giving drivers more ‘bang for their buck’.
THE FORMAT
Our standard format provides drivers with an average of 45 minutes of track time per event, consisting of a 15 minute qualifying session and two races of 15 minutes each.
The objective of our series is to maximise track time and enjoyment while keeping motorsport affordable for our competitors.

COUPE CUP
120 COUPE CUP CHAMPIONSHIP
As the 116 Trophy approaches capacity, both the Sprint Trophy and Coupe cup offer a fantastic alternative, especially for single-driver teams. During its inaugural season, the Coupe Cup will be sharing the starting grid with the Sprint Trophy, while entry numbers build. This means that both series will benefit from the same access to infrastructure and community support as the 116 Trophy.
The E82 120i Coupe is a well-loved car, with good reason. Capable of delivering more power than the Trophy and Sprint cars, but still utilising the same modified parts and, with donor cars available at around £5000, the Coupe Cup falls into a similar affordability bracket for teams, while further improving the offering for those who choose to compete with 116 Racing.

Our standard format provides drivers with an average of 50 minutes of track time per event, consisting of a qualifying session and two races of 15-20 minutes each.
