BOSS GP
Since 1995 the fastest race series in Europe and one of the most spectacular series in the international motorsport world.
BOSS GP is Europe's fastest racing series and one of the most spectacular in the international motorsport world.
The term "BOSS" stands for Big Open Single Seaters, meaning that only large and high-horsepower formula race cars from recent years are eligible to compete. In addition to former Formula 1 cars, the BOSS GP racing series is also open to Formula 2, IndyCar, World Series by Renault, and A1 GP.
BOSS GP is officially authorized as an International Championship by the FIA, the highest governing body in motorsport.
Classes
The championship is divided into four classes: The F1 Class is the premier category, where Formula 1 cars from the 1996 season onwards are eligible to compete. The FORMULA Class features race cars from Formula 2, GP2, AutoGP, A1 GP, Superleague Formula, and the World Series by Renault 3.5. Since the 2025 season, young drivers under the age of 30 and ‘Pro’ drivers will have a separate classification called FORMULA Pro. Since 2021, SUPER LIGHTS has crowned its own BOSS GP champion, featuring Formula 3000 cars and the six-cylinder machines of the World Series by Nissan. IndyCars and ChampCars are also eligible to compete in the BOSS GP Racing Series.
The deep, throaty roar of the GP2 V8 engines, the equally thrilling sound of the World Series by Renault power units, the deafeningly loud Superleague Formula V12 engines, and, of course, the breathtaking, high-revving Formula 1 V10 powerplants quite literally scream in unison. Together, they deliver action-packed, fast, and sonorous motorsport at its finest – an experience unlike any other in the world of racing.
