Formula E Circuit Modular | Formula E Test Track

Due to its reversible layout, the Mechanical Pole is a unique track in Europe. The circuit offers infinite modularity that allows Formula E teams to get as close as possible to the tracks encountered throughout the season. Pins, 90° turns, the 2520 meters of development of the Mechanical Pole adapts to your needs. To date, five configurations have been tested by BMW Formula E, Michelin and Venturi Formula E Team, we adapt the track on request!

Customized Formula E Test Track

A narrow track that corresponds to urban circuits. Can only be used with 1 formula E on track. This configuration developed by Venturi testifies to the modularity of the circuit to adapt the layout to the needs of the teams.

Pôle Mécanique Ales Cevennes

Pôle Mécanique Alès Cévennes, located in the Gard department of France, is a versatile motorsport complex offering a mix of circuit racing, karting, and off-road facilities. Opened in 2002, the circuit was designed to provide a testing and competition venue for various motorsport disciplines, boosting the local economy and fostering a passion for racing.

The main circuit, approximately 2.5 kilometers (1.55 miles) in length, features a flowing layout characterized by a blend of fast straights and challenging corners. The track's design emphasizes driver skill, demanding precision and smooth inputs. Its relatively narrow width in certain sections adds to the challenge, making overtaking a strategic maneuver. The circuit is known for its well-maintained asphalt and ample run-off areas, prioritizing safety.

Technically, the circuit presents a variety of corner types, including long sweeping bends, tight hairpins, and chicane sections. Elevation changes are moderate but noticeable, adding another layer of complexity to the driving experience. The pit lane is modern and well-equipped, capable of accommodating a wide range of racing teams.

Pôle Mécanique Alès Cévennes hosts a diverse range of motorsport events, including national-level car and motorcycle racing, historic racing series, track days, and driver training programs.

Pôle Mécanique Ales Cevennes CCW

Pôle Mécanique Ales Cevennes CCW is 2.2 km, 11 turns, counter-clockwise.

The counterclockwise configuration at Pôle Mécanique Ales Cevennes reverses the directional flow at this facility in southern France's Gard department in the Occitanie region. Running the circuit counterclockwise transforms corner approaches and braking references across the layout. This variant serves events seeking reversed directional characteristics, creating different setup priorities and driving techniques compared to clockwise operation at this French motorsport facility serving regional racing community.

Pôle Mécanique Ales Cevennes CW

Pôle Mécanique Ales Cevennes CW is 2.5 km, 13 turns, clockwise.

Running clockwise emphasizes the circuit's technical layout characteristics designed for regional racing activities and driver development programs.

The clockwise flow established itself as the standard direction since opening, providing southern France's racing community with permanent circuit infrastructure supporting club racing, track days, and regional championship events in the Cevennes area.
