The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari is located in the heart of the Motor Valley, just a few kilometres from Bologna and easily accessible from all over Italy.
The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo and Dino Ferrari is universally recognized as a very technical track, difficult to interpret, with rather complex turns and braking: driving it at a high pace requires a professional-level profile.
In the summer of 2009, the New Low Variant was built, necessary to meet the homologation requirements of the International Motorcycle Federation. This intervention, aimed at neutralizing the slight right turn characteristic of the track for cars, is located in front of the pit lane. In August 2011, the circuit underwent resurfacing work on the road surface, an operation that covered 70% of the track.
It was here in the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, specifically at a flat left-hand corner in today's Variante Tamburello, that the Brazilian F1 Champion Ayrton Senna got killed in 1994.

Imola Circuit History
An Italian story since 1953.
It was opened way back in 1953 and is located in the Motor Valley, where some of the most legendary stories have come from and where major international car and motorbike competitions are held, from Formula 1 to the WEC.
In the heart of the Motor Valley, where the passion for motors runs deep in the Emilian land, stands the Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari of Imola, a global icon of motor racing. It was born from the dream of a group of pioneers from Romagna after the war, and the track officially took shape in 1950 along the right bank of the Santerno River and at the foot of the Imola hills.
In 1950 the foundation stone of the Autodromo was laid and in 1953 the official inauguration took place with a motorcycle event, the Gran Premio CONI, valid for the Italian Championship 125 and 500 classes.
